Our home assignment is coming to a close and we're finishing up our schedule of visiting many churches and individuals. We leave for the Phoenix area on February 16 and from there we will go to So. California to visit family members, supporters and speak in a Filipino church in Hawaiian Gardens. On the 27th we return to Kingman where we have several more speaking engagements and then we begin the process of packing and making final preparations for our journey back to the Philippines. To say the least, our past six months seem like a whirlwind, and although it has been an extremely busy time for us, we have seen the Lord's constant protection and have been greatly blessed by having the privilege of sharing about what God is doing in the Philippines and the great opportunities He has opened up for us in Mindano. The Lord is good! We will leave the U.S. for the Philippines on March 14th.

Praises

1. Praise the Lord for His constant protection as we have traveled thousands of miles, and for protecting our health.

2. Praise the Lord for having the opportunity to share our ministry in the Philippines with many churches and individuals.

3. Praise the Lord for constantly bringing key people into our lives that provide networks for future ministry in Mindanao.

4. Praise the Lord for providing us with places to stay and a car during our home assignment. The Lord has graciously supplied all our needs!

5. Praise the Lord for giving us opportunities to see our family and friends.

6. Praise the Lord for providing the finances for twelve milk goats and for $2,000 towards two motorcycles for Hope Mountain Ministries.

7. Praise the Lord for increasing our burden and sharpening our vision for ministry in Mindanao.

8. Praise the Lord for our faithful prayer warriors and supporters.

9. Praise the Lord for our wonderful WorldVenture headquarters staff. The WorldVenture team provided invaluable assistance in many areas while in Littleton, CO during our home assignment week.

We are truly blessed by being part of the WorldVenture family.

Prayer Requests

1. That the Lord will enable us to put together all the details for our return to the Philippines.

2. Safety and physical strength as we continue to travel here in the U.S.

3. That the move from Manila to Davao will go smoothly. We will return to Manila on March 16 and plan to move from Manila to Davao in April. There are still a lot of details to be worked out.

4. Pray that we will be fully supported prior to leaving the U.S. At this point we are 95% supported and WorldVenture wants us to be 100% prior to leaving the U.S. We still need about $3,000 for our vehicle fund. We need to purchase a rugged vehicle for the work in Mindanao.

5. Pray also that God will provide the $400 additional for the Hope Mountain motorcycles prior to leaving the U.S. Anyone interested in giving to this project can designate their gifts to World Venture, Special Project -- Philippines - Hope Mountain, #6420-942. 6. Many churches we visited indicated interest in sending short-term mission teams to the Philippines. Pray that the Lord will raise up the right people for the short-term teams and that we can partner them with the right churches and ministries in the Philippines.

7. Pray that the Lord will help us coordinate multiple ministries at Hope Mountain in Davao. We will be involved in theological education, missions mobilization, agricultural and livelihood training, mentoring pastors and leaders, and children's ministries, plus the development of the Hope Mountain staff.

8. Pray for Vincent, Debbie, Roger and Ivan Jothi. Vincent is a student at ISOT (International School of Theology) in Quezon City. He will graduate from ISOT at the end of March and then return with his family to India. We praise the Lord for the $300 given towards a computer for Vincent. Pray that we will receive the final $275 needed for purchasing the computer. We have had the opportunity of mentoring this family while they have been in the Philippines and we're excited about their future ministry plans when they return to their homeland.
